DRAFT FOR REVIEW — this is a plain-English working draft. It has not yet had legal review and items marked [TBC] must be confirmed before launch.
Terms of use
Last updated: 12 July 2026 (draft)
These terms are written to be read. They cover the TillSave mobile app and this website, operated by [legal entity name — TBC]. By creating an account you agree to them.
What TillSave is
TillSave reads photographs of your supermarket receipts and turns them into spending analytics, meal plans, price comparisons and shopping lists. It is a tool for your own household’s shopping — not a commercial data service.
Price and payment
- TillSave costs £2.99 a month or £24.99 a year, after a 14-day free trial with full access.
- Billing is handled by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel there at any time; your access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- If your trial or subscription ends, you keep read-only access to your history and a limited number of free scans. Export and deletion of your data are always available, subscription or not.
Honest limits you should know about
- Price comparisons are estimates. They are built from your receipts and available price data, which change constantly and vary by branch. Always check the price on the shelf before relying on a comparison.
- Meal suggestions are suggestions. They are generated from what you bought. You are responsible for checking ingredients, allergens and dietary suitability for your household.
- Receipt reading is not perfect. TillSave flags lines it is unsure about for you to confirm, but you should not treat parsed data as a financial record. Your receipt remains the record.
Fair use
TillSave is for your household’s own receipts. Reasonable rate limits apply to receipt scanning to keep the service fast and affordable for everyone. Automated scraping of the service, reselling its output, or uploading content that is not a shopping receipt may lead to suspension.
Your data
How we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. Short version: your receipts are yours, photos are deleted after 30 days, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
Liability, in plain English
We work hard to make TillSave accurate and reliable, but we cannot promise it is error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on a price comparison, a meal plan or parsed receipt data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending or changing the service
You can stop using TillSave and delete your account at any time. If we ever make a material change to these terms or wind the service down, we will give you notice in the app and you will be able to export your data first.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales [confirm jurisdiction — TBC], and disputes belong to the courts there, without affecting consumer protections that apply where you live in the UK.
